Hello,
Trying to connect the Unity connection 8.5 with my CME 7.1, configured the DN's and they both port show registered with the Unity created a generic dial-peer and calls to voice mail are being send thru that dial-peer, all was done based on cisco documentation, however I keep getting fast busy when voice mail is dialed.. Is there anything special to be configured as far as dial-peer is concern ?
anyone plz ?

Switch to sip. Easier config. One dial peer and one line for MWI.
dial-peer voice 7777 voip
description voice mail pilot
max-conn 8
destination-pattern 7777$
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:10.xx.xx.xx
dtmf-relay rtp-nte
codec g711ulaw
no vad
sip-ua
mwi-server 10.xx.xx.xx unsolicited

So, I take it you built SIP integration? Can you share you CME config?
Can you post "debug ccsip messages"?
Can you describe the port grop config in UCON?

You mentioned dial-peer, what would you need a dial peer for if you have SCCP integration?
With SCCP you build ephone-dns. Please post your config.
I would definitely recommend SIP integrations for these versions as it is a lot simpler and works very well.

Hi Love
Yes the sip dial peers are useless for sccp integration
I believe that you have already into telephony service the voice mail number right?
The prefix in the unity connection is matching with your prefix in cme?
Must be like this in cuc according to your config CUC1-VI
Recheck this doc.But Maybe is the same that you already have

Hi Chrysos,
Yes the vmail number is defined in telephony service.
I did remove the dial-peer from the config but still getting the fast busy signal..
The link you provided is exactly the one I was reading and following..
Thanks

I believe that you missed something in cuc
The prefix is the same in cuc? CUC1-VI ?
Th cme is added into server configuration in CUC?
Did you check that the cme and the cuc that you are using are compatible right?
Good luck mate

When i configured the CUCM 8.5 with the same UCC it worked fine, but one extra step i had to do was upload the users and their ext form CUCM into UCC, isn't that required with CME ?
Anyone ?

In the cuc port group/server you choose the correct setting right?ccme and not cucm
Also did you try the reset button? under port group below of the prefix?
to have voice mail for the users yes you need to add the cme users into cuc
But this is not the reason to getting busy tone when you are dial the voice mail pilot
I dont have anything else to advice you
sorry
