How do I get line descriptions on the phones in CME? NAME and DESCRIPTION under the ephone-dn doesn't do it. Basically I just need button 4 to say "Front Desk 5000" rather than simply the extension "5000".

Hi Kyle,
These are called "Labels" in CME
To create a label to display in place of the number next to a line button, perform the following steps.
Directory number for which the label is to be created is already configured. For configuration information, see the "SCCP: Creating Directory Numbers" section.
1. enable
2. configure terminal
3. ephone-dn dn-tag
4. label label-string
5. end
If you are done modifying parameters for phones in Cisco Unified CME, generate a new configuration file and restart the phones.
Cheers!
Rob
