CP-8821, ISR4331, files for phones and CUCME

Hello,

I have Cisco CP-8821 phones and an ISR4331 with CUBE and CUCME functionalities.

According to this document:
"10 Step to configure Cisco Call Manager Express"
https://mrncciew.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/how-to-configure-cme.pdf
- at step 5, I would need a file like "cme-full-4.3.0.0.tar"
- at steps 6 and 7, I would need some ".sbn" and ".loads" files for the phones.

I can't find these files on the ISR4331 that I have.
1. Where should they be located?
2. If they are missing, is there a repository where I can download them?

Please help me.
Best regards.

The files that you mention are phone firmware files and don't come pre-loaded from the factor. You can head over to CCO and download the files if your ID has an active software download contract.

Hello.
I've bought my products but received no ID to download any kind of software or files.
Therefore, I have no idea what "CCO" and "software download contract" are.
I am in a great trouble because I can't autonomously download the software and files that I need to configure my products.

Open the following link and login -
https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286308995/type/282074288/release/11.0%25283%2529SR6

Do you see a "Additional Entitlement Download" or are you able to download the firmware ?

Hello.
Indeed, I am able to download the firmware. That is good.

May I ask you about the other file I mentioned in my initial post:

"10 Steps to configure Cisco Call Manager Express"
https://mrncciew.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/how-to-configure-cme.pdf
at step 5, I would need a file like "cme-full-4.3.0.0.tar"

Can I get this file or a more recent one too?

Good, than that means you have a valid contract.

Now, you don't need CME 4.0 package. Do you have CME running on the router yet i.e. with telephony-service or voice register global ?

If yes, do a "show telephony-service" or "show voice register global" to check the CME version. Then download the relevant CME version package here -

https://software.cisco.com/download/home/277641082/type/282786567/release/12.2

Hello again.
I found this file "CME-COMPLETE-FILESET-12.2.tar" which may be a replacement for "cme-full-4.3.0.0.tar" but I've no idea about that...

I am not allowed to download it as you can see in the image below:

Yup, you won't be able to. Talk to your AM regarding and get the contract assigned to your profile if you have already purchased it or you would need to purchase one.

Hello. Sorry, I didn't see your intermediary answer.

What do you mean by "AM"?
Is this compulsory to get this file to have the system work properly?

In other words, in the document below, can I skip "step 5" without any problem?

AM = Accounts Manager.
No, it's not mandatory. What were you looking for in that package ?

Hello.
I wasn't looking for anything special (for now).
I just want to do the minimum configuration I can with: two wireless phones CP-8821, an ISR4331 with CUBE and CUCME features, a Catalyst Switch (WS-C2960L-24TS-LL) and a Wi-fi WLC/access point (AIR-AP1832I-E-K9).
I need to complete the steps in that document I mentioned earlier ("10 Steps to configure Cisco Call Manager Express") to make my system operational.

Is there a means to know just the contents of this archive ("CME-COMPLETE-FILESET-12.2.tar"): the files list with their names and maybe what they are useful for?

The package contains - background images, ringtones, b-acd tcl scripts, moh file, GUI files etc.

There is nothing in the package that is required for phone registration. Its more

from a customization perspective.

Hello.

Ok. Thank you very much.

I'll do without it then for now.
