Hello.

I need help with a project i am assigned at work.

I am trying to connect a cucm and cucm im & presence to work with cisco ip phone 8865.
I want to be able to call internally and external. Also use cisco jabber on Desktop computer and smartphone with Skype for business working with IP Phones.

Currently im running on demo CUCM.

1. What are the packages/product name or ID that has to activate when ordering for license. (CUCM 12.5 and CUCM IM & Presence 12.5).
2. Does Cisco have a PSTN device? if they do. What's the device name?

3. How do i set Cisco Jabber and Skype on IP Phone?

I will appreciate some feedback and guidance.

Best Regards.

Hello,

I would strongly  suggest to contact a Validated Cisco Partner, specialised on Collaboration to assist you accordingly. Apart from the licensing, there are a lot of tasks that need to be prepared, check the following guide:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/install/12_5_1/cucm_b_install-guide-cucm-imp-1251.html

Concerning your question on PSTN, Cisco has CME (https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-express/211270-Basic-Configuration-Guide-for-CUCME-CME.html) or Cisco CUBE (https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/voice/cube/configuration/cube-book/voi-cube-overview.html).

Last but not least, Cisco Jabber is a softphone that could be installed on IOS, Android, Windows or MAC to replace or control  a Cisco Phone, but cannot be installed on a Cisco Phone.

There are various posts in Community that describe this area as well as a lot of material on Web (for example youtube videos) which could give you a -basic- idea of the Collaboration platforms that you intend to work with.

I am trying to get in touch with cisco partners or sales.. Yet to get a response.

I have set up the basic configuration and can make calls internally since im within demo license, i want to expand the capabilities at the office to make use of cisco jabber on desktop computer with skype on cisco ip phone.

My worries and question is :-

How does CUCM + CUCM IM & Presence licensing works (overall licensing or selected packages license).

If licensing is similar to IOS licensing where you have option to acquire isis or ospf packages, mpls packages, security and all     that selected. e.g  sh install active or sh run. viewing packages activated or licensed.

Please check the following post:

https://community.cisco.com/t5/ip-telephony-and-phones/cisco-cucm-licensing/m-p/3994610

Hope this helps,

George

Based upon what and how you ask, plus how you ask follow up questions it is quite clear that you do not have the needed knowledge in this area. Do yourself a favour and hand this in its entirety over to someone who knows the topic.

You've already asked some of those questions, review the material that you've been provided. Based on what you've asked, you really need to get a reputable consultant or a local Cisco partner WITH voice specializations to do this. Deploying the products without proper knowledge and following the proper design guidelines can lead into costly re-designs which not only cost money, but also time, in order to fix the underlying issues that were created due to improper design/configuration.
