Hello! Could you please give a piece of advice on my problem?
CUCM can't complete the backup process with the following error:
===========================
Feature : UCM
Component : TFTP
Time Completed: ***************
Result Code : 1-Unknown TFTP Error
Result String : ERROR
=====================================================
Free space on /common/drf = 3191432 KB, required space = 3987084 KB
Not enough space for backup
----> BEGIN Standard Output
----> END Standard Output
----> BEGIN Standard Error
----> END Standard Error
===================================
The sftp server where the backup to be placed has enough dissk space.
I tried restarting the local/master DRF services on the CUCM - didn't help.
Am I right thinking that I need to clean up /common/drf directory? How can I do so?
Thanks a lot!

Seems like common partition of specific server is full. execute the command "show status", "show diskusage common sort" and check the disk usage if disk usage of inactive/logging is around 80-90% then we got to free up some space there.
admin:show status
Total Free Used
Disk/active 14652904K 1821348K 12682688K (88%)
Disk/inactive 14652904K 13741144K 167416K (2%)
Disk/logging 50986188K 30910692K 17485544K (37%)
In order to free up the try the following
++ Install ciscocm.free_common_space_<lastest version>..cop.sgn.cop to clean inactive partition
++ Delete traces, and set the tracing to default.
++ Try rebooting specific server.

Hi,
try changing the path of sftp on PC where u are taking backup.Create a separate folder and in sftp software point to this new path.

Hi,
I've changed the destination path for sftp... the problem persists unfortunately.

Try to use an another sftp server in your laptop to eliminate any other issues.
you can use a coreftp(free) and executable.

Hi Mohammed,
thanks a lot for your response! I have installed and run ciscocm.free_common_space utility as you advised. As a result /common/drf directory indeed seems to have enough free space. This error message disappeared, but unfortunately another problem has risen:
===========
Result Code : 116-SFTP transfer failed during Backup. Either there is not enough disk space or network transfer failed due to interuption while transferring data to configured SFTP Server
Result String : ERROR
=====================================================
Free space on /common/drf = 16823664 KB, required space = 6844280 KB
Ready for backup
./
.............list of files
tar: -: Wrote only 6144 of 10240 bytes
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
Backup failed
----> BEGIN Standard Output
----> END Standard Output
----> BEGIN Standard Error
error writing output file
gzip: stdout: Broken pipe
----> END Standard Error
=============================================
It's strange because sftp server has plenty of free disk space. The communication between CUCM and SFTP server seems to be OK - at least I'm able to update device firmware using it.
thanks beforehand for any ideas on the problem!

Hi Aman and Mohammed!
thanks a lot for your comments. It looks like I'm really affected by CSCul38509.
It is interesting that if I issue DIR and then DIR /R commands the backup process finishes correctly! If I don't do that the backup fails as usual.
So I think I'll have to use the workarounds suggested.

I already deleted trace from RTMT
Install the COP
Restart the server however not under Active / Inactive disk space.
Any other suggestions??
