Hello,
What is the easiest/cheapest way to set up a lab for CUCM to simulate incoming and outgoing call?
I have a Cisco VG202 I was wondering if this can be used to be the gateway I also found that 2811 routers are popular to do such lab? Is it possible to use a home analog line to perform this lab? I'm new to the VoIP realm and just wanted to learn more about this. I already have a CUCM lab working, but I just need to be able to simulate an incoming and outgoing call.
Thanks

That will depend on what you want to use, TDM? SIP? PRI? FXO?
VG202 are FXS, not FXO.

Hi Edward,
You can use home analog line to test incoming and outgoing calls. For this you need FXO ports on the router. As Jaime has mentioned, Cisco VG202 is a FXS gateway to connect analog endpoints. Your best/cheapest option is to use Cisco 1861 router for lab. Cisco 1861 supports only FXS, FXO and BRI Ports. If you need PRI ports then you can use Cisco 2801 or other models.
