CUCM on 819 platform?

                   We recently procured the 819 platform with 15.1.4 IOS but now we can't get the CCME to work and actually there is little we can find on the Cisco.com portal that clearly states that the CCME is not supported so can anyone provide some clarity on this? CCME on 819 possible or not?

FYI: the SW release 15.1.4 does state that the IOS includes CCME version 8.6 but on the 819 there is no sign of a Voice file or command support.

Hi there,

Here's a couple of references that may help;

Q. Can voice support be added to a Cisco 890 Series data model?

A. No. With the Cisco 890 Series, IP phones can be connected to the integrated switchports to register with a centrally located Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

Hi,

I have looked through the CME compatability matrix

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/requirements/guide/33matrix.htm

I do not see any support for CME on an 819

Also there is no mention on the 819 data sheet

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps10906/ps380/ps11615/data_sheet_c78-678459.html

The smallest router supported for CME is an 1861

Actually there are some 880 models that support 5 user CME as well pots interfaces, check them out in data sheet.

I'm no voice tech guy but if by "CME" you mean load the software into the 819 router, then the answer is NO.  The reason is because the 819 does not have enough flash memory capacity to load the software and associated phone loads.

If by "CME" you mean hardware, the answer is still no because the ISM/SM card cannot physically "fit" into the tiny frame.
