CUCM Upgrade 6.0 to 6.1 to 8.6

Dear All

I want to upgrade CUCM 6.0.1.3000-7 [ 6.0(1b)] to CUCM ver 8.6.  now there is no direct upgrade to 8,6 from version 6.0.

Upgrade path is 6.0.1.3000-7  to 6.1.1.3000-2

6.1.1.3000-2 to  6.1.3.3000-1

6.1.3.3000-1 to  6.1.4.2190-3

and then 6.1.4.2190-3 to 8.6

Now I am about to upgrade first stage that is 6.0.1.3000-7 to 6.1.1.3000-2.

Kindly please can you help me step by step on how can I carry this 1st stage of upgrade.

There are also hardware considerations here.  Are you doing the upgrade on existing 6.x servers or using new hardware to get to 8.6?

I am doing upgrade on existing hardware. Can you please advice how i can upgrade from version 6.0.1.3000-7 to 6.1.1.3000-2 that is 6.0(1b) to 6.1(1b).

Attached document for Upgrade to 6.1(1b) says this upgrade from 6.0(1) or 6.0(1a).

What i have is version 6.0(1b) as my current version and from this version I want to upgrade to 6.1(1b). Document you send does not mention upgrade from 6.0(1b).

Abbas,

Regardless of CUCM versions ( in minor upgrades ), the procedure remains same. Your case also is of minor upgrade hence procedure remains same only the upgrade file name will be changed. You will use the upgrade file downloaded from CCO & use the same upgrade procedure.
