Displaying DTMF input in Cisco IP phones

Hi,

 

One of the customer wants to know whether it's possible to display IVR DTMF input displayed in IP phone ?

Not possible natively. Depending upon the call flow and if there is any forwarding /transfers happening, you might be able
to mask the DTMF to display as a CLID but AFAIK it won’t be dynamic.

This would be possible if the IVR was a Cisco call center product and the call is routed through the IVR and ACD to an agent who is using IP Phone Agent. In that combination only, you can display Enterprise Data (ie variables from the IVR) that contains up to 40 alphanumeric characters on the display of the phone.

I set up Auto Attendant using the uccx AA script template. The option 2 prompts the caller to enter the last name followed by the first name of the person. I was using jabber client for windows to test it but I couldn't enter the character .

2 is ABC
