Hi all,
Ephone-dn --> I think it's used to configure the buttons of the ephones. For example, "button one = extension 1000".
Dial Peer -->I thinks it's used to assign the final extensions to the phones..
This is correct?
With the ephone-dn could I assign a final extension to the phone?? Or it's only used to assign buttons...
I don't understand well the ephone-dn concept.
Thanks all.

Ephone-dn -> Create a directory number which can be assined to ephones
Ephone -> Create the phone itself. you have to assign the createte ephone-dn here
Dial-peer-> Used to connect to PSTN/Voicemail/etc. Is a numberpattern which is routet to a specific port
Im not sure what you mean by "button" but if you mean all the function keys of the phones:
Define the keys as a "ephone-template" and assign the template under "Ephone"

Hi
One of the way to assign the phone number to ephone is by using "button" command under ephone configuration.
For example
ephone 1
Button 1:1 , 2:2
This command will assign Dn 1000 to button 1 of your ephone and Dn 2000 to button 2 of your ephone

Thanks for your answer..
When I talk about the buttons I talk about the phone physicall keys. I thought that Ephone-dn are an option assigned to a physicall key of the physicall phone.
If I have understand your answer... Ephone-dn = the number or extension of the phone. After you have create the ephone you assign the Ephone-DN to give it's extension number.

Thanks for the replyes ¡¡¡
But I have a last doubt:
1º)I create an ephone dn 1000 and ephone dn 2000
2º)I create a ephone 1 and ephone 2
Ok,I can assign the ephone dn 2000 to the ephone 1 button 1. If I press the button 1 I could call the ephone dn 2000
But, how can I assign the telephone number to the ephone 1. Not a button to call another phones, his own phone number??
Thanks '¡¡¡

Ronak,
But, it assigns DN 1000 to button 1 of my ephone. This meands that if I push the physical button 1 of my physicall phone I log with the extension 1000 ¿?
¿Or when it talks about button is not the physicall button of the phone? Is another concept?
I hope you understand my question.
Thanks ¡¡¡

Hi,
Yes the button 1:1 will give DN number to button 1 of the ip phone. Button command gives DN to physical button of Ip phone .
