DSP for services & voice calls

Dear Friends,

What is the difference between DSP for voice calls & services ?

When I buy a VWIC card does it have DSP's on it, how do I configure it for voice calls and services ?

Does the command voice-card refer to the DSP's on the VWIC card ?

how do I configure DSP's on mother board?

Does DSP's used for voice calls ( not services ) register with call manager ?

Please advise...

Cheers,

Shaggy

Check out this post for explnation of dspfarm services vs. dspfarm

https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/274844

voice-card refers to a module on a router, voice-card 0 means the motherboard and applies to both dspfarm and dspfarm services

Config examples on the above thread as well as many, many other trheads and cisco docs, just search for dspfarm

Does DSP's used for voice calls ( not services ) register with call manager ?

No, the circuit/port may register if MGCP is used.

HTH,

Chris
