Hi, I have an hour window Thursday and Friday morning to test an E1 CME router setup with 8 channels, having never configured an E1 before I'm trying to cover all bases and am looking for some advice and clarification based on the config below.
I'm sure the customer has 8 channels, like BRI I presume this will allow 16 concurrent calls? Can anyone see any issues with the config? Also are there any recommended configuration options I should add?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Craig.
network-clock-select 1 E1 0/3/0
isdn switch-type primary-net5
controller E1 0/3/0
pri-group timeslots 1-8,16
interface Serial0/3/0:15
no ip address
encapsulation hdlc
isdn switch-type primary-net5
isdn incoming-voice voice
isdn sending-complete
no cdp enable

Hi, seems it's all good, your pri will do as many calls as channels (8).

Thanks. What would the config look like with 17 Channels ?

pri-group timeslots 1-18.
This to account the D channel.

you'll also need
network-clock-participate wic 0 - this will use the network clock for timing.
As mentioned by previous poster your configuration will only allow for 8 concurrent calls (1 per channel).
Don't forget to configure your voice-port cptone and also your dial-peers.

Thanks Guys, I now feel confident I can get what I need done with the limited testing time allocated.
