Hi IP telephony Experts,
I'm facing a problem during editing an IP phone configuration. I'm telling the story, think 2 phones are already registered in cucm. One of them is for supervisor and another is for agent. Unfortunately supervisor's phone is not functioning. So it is decided changing supervisor's IP phone with agent's IP phone. Then I changed the mac address of supervisor's Ip phone into Agent's IP phone and click on save button, then an error is showing
"Update failed. One of the required fields on the page has
the same value as an entry that already exists in the database. Please check the
corresponding Find List page to verify your entry does not exist."
What is the reason for this?
And what is the solution?

It is because that phone MAC already exists and you are trying to edit to another phone with the same MAC..hence the error. Delete the first phone and then change the MAC..it will work.
