We are configuring new phone model which is 8832 to call manager, their status is showing unknown. To configure new models do we need to install device pack? if so how to identify whether device packs are installed or not?

Hi,
If you are able to search this model in your cucm the device is already enabled for this cucm.
whats your cucm version?
Is the mac address correct in cucm of the ip phone?
the ip phone is getting the correct ip address?
the network of this ip phone has the option 150?

From the phone settings check the below points.
- Check network settings. Verify the phone IP settings. Make sure the phone has right TFTP address.
- Check the status message
If you are registering the phone manually, Make sure you entered the Correct MAC address and DN has been assigned.

As @Leonardo Santana wrote if you can select the model of the phone from the list when you create a new device you already have the needed information in the database of the specific model. If you wouldn't have had this you would need to find a device pack that has the model included in it. For the most the easiest would be to simply get the very latest device pack and read the readme file for it as that lists all the models of devices that it includes.

No. You'll have to convert it by changing the firmware on the phone from MPP to Enterprise.
