FXO incoming call drops soon we pick the call

From today morning suddenly the incoming calls over the FXO port stopped working. All calls to FXO are diverted (PLAR) to Reception but the moment receptionist picks the receiver the call drops. Same time the FXO Outoing is working fine. Any idea what could be reason ? I could not find anything from the logs, anyway i am planning to reload the router once since Analog ports might sometimes gives these kinda problems. Any thoughts ?

Sounds like a codec problem. Have you done any changes to the configuration in CUCM or VGW?

Could you do a debug voip ccapi inout of the failed and successful call, post the output for us to look at it.

Hi Friends,

I have the same problem with my MGCP Gateway 2901. The inbound calls go down when they try to enter to FXO port. I did some basic test:

MGCP signaling OK.

FXO ports OK.

There is not battery reversal in CO.

CO line service provider OK.

I reseted the gateway.

I also did a debug vom signal but I can´t find anything. I attach the debug information, so you can help me:

Did you add the FXO configuration in call manager and register the voice-port in the gateway via MGCP?

Make sure that it shows registered with an IP address. Please post:

Hi Francisco, thanks you for your response.

I just registered the FXO ports on CUCM properly, so they are shown like registered withe the IP Address. I attach the file with the show commands you asked me. On it, I can´t see the mgcp connections, I think the gateway showed in blank and I don´t know why.

OK.

A good troubleshooting step for MGCP is to "reset" the gateway in CUCM gateway page and then do "no mgcp" "mgcp" from conf t in the gateway.

After that, can you make sure ports 0/0/0 and 0/0/1 show connected via MGCP? You can do this by doing "Show mgcp endpoint". Also, while placing a call, you can do "sh mgcp connection" and it should show the port being used.

Lastly, how many digits are used in your internal extensions of CUCM? If different than incoming digits from the PSTN, how are you manipulating the called number? Can you make outgoing calls? If not, do you have your patterns setup correctly pointing to a RouteList/RouteGroup/FXO port?
