Guys, I have multiple SIP trunks registered on my Gateway, and the calls are routed to cvp for IVR treatement, now i have to limit the channels for certain SIP trunks that are registered on my gateway, is there any way we can limit the channels on the gateway, thats the first priority, if not then we might have to do it from ICM or CVP, can you guys let me know how i can do that?

What do you mean by limit channels ?

Hi @George Michaell,

if you are talking about CAC to "limit the channels", you can use:

  1. max-conn command in the dial-peer voice xxx voip
  2. call threshold global total-calls in the global configuration

Hope this helps,
 Marcelo Morais

i have multiple sip trunks registered on gateway and i want to limit the
number of callers onto the solution, so is there a possibility to limit the
channels of the sip trunk or i can define the number of concurrent callers
that can be entertained on it?

Marcelo gave a couple of options. Review the following for some more options -
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/voice/cube_proto/configuration/xe-3s/asr1000/cube-proto-xe-3s-asr1000-book/voi-cub-cac.html

CAC can be implemented based on bandwidth etc as well if that suits you.
