I've got a tricky problem which is a little difficult to solve.
The setup:
SITE 1 SITE 2
------ ------
C2821 ---- WAN ---- C2821
CUCME 8.6 CUCME 8.6
CUE 7.0.5
Site 1 is running CUCME8.6 on a 2821, plus AIM-CUE for VoiceMail.
Site 2 is running CUCME8.6 on a 2821.
SIP trunk between both sites.
There are 4 extensions at each site (with mailboxes), and there is a GDM setup for each site.
I am having difficulty finding a suitable configuration to enable MWI to function for the GDM at site 2.
If I use unsolicited SIP MWI notification, only one gateway IP address can be set in CUE (for either Site 1, or Site 2) for unsolicited MWI delivery.
If I use SIP subscribe MWI notification, both sites can subscribe successfully to CUE to receive MWI for user mailboxes, however when I try to subscribe the GDM I receive a SIP404 error message (presumably because there is no "user" for the GDM, only a group with associated extension).
Does anyone see a possible way for the GDM extension at site 2 to receive MWI successfully?
Appreciate any suggestions and thoughts.
