Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to set up hardware conferencing in CME with a on board PVDM2. I'm having some trouble with the config:
CME(config-dspfarm-profile)#no shut
Please associate the profile to an application and retry
Pertinent part of the config is attached.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks,
David

Hi David,
Add the following to your dspfarm profile:
associate application sccp

David I believe you need two things ad-hoc dn and the shared line dn. do you have both?
Create shared line ephone-dn and ad-hoc conference ephone-dn e.g
ephone-dn 3 octo-line
number 5003
!
!
ephone-dn 4 octo-line
number A123
conference ad-hoc

Hi Clileikis,
Thanks for the reply. That got conferencing working, thank you.
Cbarge is still not working. The cbarge softkey never shows up.
Any ideas? Updated config.
Thanks,
David

David for cbarge to work privacy must be disbaled either globally or on the specific phone. By default privacy is turned on and hence phones hid their remote in use state. So do this..
1. globally
telephony-service
no privacy
2. Locally from each phone:
!
ephone 2
privacy off

Hi Aokanlawon,
I have no privacy under both tel serv and each ephone. I think its an issue with the remote in use, its not coming up for the shared line.
Best,
David

You also need ad-hoc conference configured. I dont see this in your config.

I have:
! ephone-dn 40 octo-line number 3030 no-reg primary conference ad-hoc preference 1 no huntstop !
I posted an updated config after the first post, and updated the first post to reflect that.
Am I missing something?
Thanks,
David

David,
Try and re-configure your ad-hoc dn like this. Dont use existing DN. Use DN that only system can use. eg Remove the ad-hoc on the exisitng DN and re-configure
ephone-dn x octo-line
number A100
conference ad-hoc
!
ephone-dn y octo-line
number A101
conference ad-hoc

Hi Aokanlawon,
I deleted the old ephone-dn 40 and re-created as follows:
! ephone-dn 40 octo-line number A300 conference ad-hoc ! ! ephone-dn 41 octo-line number A301 conference ad-hoc !
Still, no cbarge. Conferencing is working however.
ephone-template 1 softkeys remote-in-use CBarge Newcall softkeys idle Redial Newcall Cfwdall Pickup Gpickup Join Login Mobility softkeys connected Hold Endcall Trnsfer Confrn TrnsfVM Mobility LiveRcd Park type 7970 !
ETA: I did also reset the ephones before testing.
Best,
David

Aokanlawon,
Brilliant, as usual. Thank you for your help.
Looks like I get the fun of going through and deleting and re-creating all my DNs now...
Best,
David
