How identify SIP Trunk with CME with ONNET?

Hi,

I'm trying to configure a SIP trunk between CM5.1 and CME.

I have a bit problem with call classification.

When calling from CME to CM is identified as OnNet/Internal call, but calling from CM to CME is OffNet/External call (ringing in short pitch).

I tried to configure the route pattern for CME with OnNet, but come out OffNet ringing.

How should I configure CM and CME trunking?

Regards,

Hirasawa

You could try to check "Disable Early Media on  180" under the SIP profile of the trunk to the CME. This should make  the announciator play then ring back.

I think in your case, the ring back is coming from the CME... can you run these debugs on the cme

debug ccsip message

debug voip ccapi inout

Thanks,

CME debug trace is attached.

And I added CME configuration.

The first call log is CM5.1 --> CME call, the second call is CME --> CM calling.

Thanks regards,

Hi,

From the logs, I can see that, CUCM and CME both play LOCAL ring-back.

This might be the reason by when you call

CUCM -

> CME (CME plays LOCAL Ringback)

CME -

> CUCM (CUCM plays LOCAL Ringback).

To confirm this..make a call, on the CME

Show voip rtp connection

You shouldn't be seeing any entries pertaining to the test call when the phone is JUST ringing. You will see entries after the call has been answered

I see the media only negotiated after the user at either side goes OFF Hook or answers the call

Thanks,

But I do want to modify ring-tone as OnNet when calling from CUCM to CME.

Please teach if you find the way to change so.

Best Regards,

Hirasawa

From the looks of it, its because of the local ring back

CME plays a different ring back than the CUCM.

Hi,

Thanks for quick reply.

Then, do you mean that it is unavailable due to the specification?

I have resolved this problem with the secondary number and "ring internal secondary" command.

Sample config partially below

ephone-dn  31  dual-line

ring internal secondary

number 2000 secondary 50822000

label 2000

ephone-dn-template 1

!

Deeply thanks for your support.
