i was asked to check for our voice gateway E1 line utilization with the service provider , i did a "show voice call summary" which showed how many channels are used of our 31 channel which i guess shows the load on our E1 but is there other ways to know my E1 utilization???

You can use CDR Analysis and Reporting tool to get reports of gateway , trunk , PRI utilization. The gateway CLI commands will only show you the current utilization. CAR tool will give you historical reports as well

Hi,
You can also check the active calls using the command "show call active voice brief" or "show voice port summary"
to check the active calls. Alternatively you can use the SNMP to get the port utilization:
