How to enable the Cisco Call manager

I have a cisco Router

3900 Series

Need to know how to enable the Call manager express in the Router?

I have smartbill software to communicate with the Call manager.

Wow, it sounds like you are in over your head..  You don't just "enable CME".  Kind of like how you don't just "enable" VLANS or routing, etc.  Have you ever studied or learned anything about CME or worked with it before?

I suggest you contact a Cisco reseller for assistance or at the very least go to cisco.com and start looking at things like this:

I have never worked on Call manager before i m newbie to this

But i heard from my supplier that the router is pre install with CCM

When i checked the CCM using show command. It says that CCM is not enabled.

So that why i confused how to enable it

I have one question on that attachement

If you look into that attachedment there is one device they indicate as cisco call manager express

  • Does that Cisco call manager is a hardware device?
  • or the cisco call manager is the software which is pre-intalled in the router?
  • step 4,5,6,7,8,9 is pointed out from cisco call manager. But the configuration will be done at router or any other special hardware required?

one other command that you might want to know -

 

telephony-service

no shut

 

This turns the service on if it is being newly configured.  Better to be helpful than insulting.
