How to setup a basic CRM?

Hey, I'm a newbie and I'm looking for advice on how to setup a basic CRM for our small Help Desk team. Where should I start? When a client calls one of our cisco phones, I want basic information and notes to come up on the phone about the client. We have and love Cisco Call Manager. Is there an easy way to do this?

Simply put no there is no easy way to do this. In general your question isn’t really applicable for this community as setup of a CRM system is totally out of scope.

you could try integration with UCCX (another cisco product). Service desk employee answers incoming call through web application called finesse, and you can preset finesse to parse incoming calling number (customer's), put it as parameter in your CRM's link, so that upon receiving incoming call, you simultaniously get your customer's page in your browser
