How to upgrade Cisco Jabber for the whole enterprise?

Hello, We are currently running on an early 2021 Jabber version and we would like to update to Cisco Jabber 14.0.2.

The last time we updated versions, we had several issues with logins to Cisco Jabber.  After installing new Jabber versions we had to support our business by troubleshooting logins through remote sessions.  We have around 1500 PC's in our environment.

Is it recommended to clear cache or to leave cache?

Let me know if there is a best/preferred way.

In a nutshell, these were our steps:

1. Unistall Jabber for all enterprise through PDQ Deploy

2. Clear Cache folders

    a. C:\ProgramData\Cisco Systems\*.*
        C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Cisco\*.*
        C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Cisco\Unified Communications\*.*

3. Install Jabber for all the enterprise through PDQ Deploy.

We usually just push out the new version with SCCM, without removing anything, and that works well for our +25K installation.

Once Jabber has been deployed we use the Automatic Update feature.  https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/jabber/14_0/cjab_b_deploy-jabber-on-premises-14_0/cjab_b_deploy-jabber-on-premises-129_chapter_010000.html#task_23954AC103F43C4936C4A9D2E7644A86. Valid for Windows and Mac machines.  Pretty easy to set up and customizable.  There are more detailed guides for configuring the auto update feature if you search.

Edit:  Here is one that helped me https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-callmanager/200119-Configure-CUCM-TFTP-for-Jabber-Automatic.html

the problem with the automatic update feature is the end user need admin rights. and by silent unattended install the problem we face is the update closes the jabber process and after the update it wont relaunch the process automatically so people wont notice jabber is closed...
