CUCM8.6. I want to update firmware on 8945 - i've downloaded latest SCCP8941_8945.9-3-2SR1 then made all by manual (including reset of TFTP service). So i can see new firmware in Device - Device defaults. But when i reset 8945 it doesn't invoke firmware update process.

Not sure if the issue is resolved or not..
1. Generally in this scenario you can try downloading the config file of the phone specifically from the TFTP server and check if the firmware mentioned is what we want.
2. Check if the old firmware can be upgraded to the desied one.
3. Check console and sniffers from phone.

I would check if your CUCM version support the newest firmware for this phone model. Check the link below.

Before using the 9.3(2)SR1 firmware for Cisco Unified IP Phone models 8941 and 8945 with Cisco Unified Communication Manager Release 7.1.5 and higher, you need install the latest firmware on all Cisco Unified Communication Manager servers in the cluster.
