Is there a way to bypass the auto-attendant when trying to forward a voicemail to another extension in Unity.

Current version of Unity is Cisco Unity Connection version: 10.5.1.10000-7
I have an employee that forward numerous voicemails to different people and departments. She does not want to wait for the automation to complete the script and want to bypass the automation since she knows the button sequence required to forward the message. Is there a way to allow this?

Hi there,

Have a look at what Conversation you are using and there should be a key sequence to fast forward to end of message option like below (example is from "Standard Conversation");

what do you mean by forward?   through email/exchange?

what do you mean by "wait for the automation to c omplete?:

please explain in UNity terms. this question makes no sense.   Thanks bud,

Please remember to rate useful posts, by clicking on the stars below.

This is all done on the phone. No email/exchange.

Our receptionist checks our general voicemail box. When a message is for a specific department she forwards that voicemail to the proper extension. Currently she is having to wait for the entire message to play out then has to allow Unity's menu to play through before she can select the correct option to forward a message. I know when deleting a voicemail you can interrupt the message and delete the message. Can the message being played be interrupted and the button sequence required to forward a voicemail be entered? If so what options need to be changed in Unity. I hope this help better explain the question.

Yep, so you need to identify the 'conversation' as Rob posted.

Find the user's mailbox (whatever receives the general mailbox), under Unity > Users.  Select that mailbox and then "Edit" > "Phone Menu" and note the "Conversation Style".

If its a custom mapping, scroll down on the left Main Unity Side Menu and select Custom Keypad Mapping, Select that custom mapping and modify the "Message Body" tab to enable the "skip to after message menu".  The typical key press for this is "#".

The above with Rob's link should get you the answers, if not ask away.

Thank you Rob and Kevin for the help. Sorry about the "user" explainination. I'll still learning the lingo and Unity. I will try your suggestions and that thank you for the table of commands. I will let ya know how things down when I am able to apply your suggestions.
