Hi,
I have a working instalation of CUCM 8.0(3a)SU3 and I wish to upgrade to 8.6 (latest version 8.6(2a)).
Do I need new licenses or this upgrade is free of charge?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Konstantin

Hi Konstantin,
You would NOT require new Software feature licenses for an 8.0 to 8.6 upgrade

Konstantin,
As stated before by Rob and Paolo as long as you have UCSS contract tied to your ESW, which you do as you were able to select the upgrade media you are entitled to the upgrade. And no you do not require any license for upgrading from 8.X to 8.6 as the software feature license is for version 8.X.

You don not need new license, but you need to purchase software update service (SUSE).

You should still go through the PUT tool to request the upgrade media for tracking purposes.

Hi,
I already have downloaded the upgrade media from the Download Center.
The question is whether I would need new licenses for 8.6 or the current licenses will work with the new version also?
Best regards,
Konstantin
