Long distance call issue

trbonja05
Level 1
Level 1

- Clustered environment and CUCM 11.5.

Long distance call to North America, say 1(XXX)-XXX-1234, rings 6 times and it gets redirected to internal extension which is 1234 (same as last 4 numbers of long distance number). User does receive the call which shows on his phone as our main external number but no audio at all.

How do I stop redirecting external calls to internal extension?

Thank you for any suggestion you may have.

Hi

Please check the call routing using Dial Number Analyzer. Also check the translation patterns for E164 numbers and the associated CSS

Cheers

Rath!

I've looked in to router debugging logs and I can see call initiating but not when it's ending...

I've looked at DNA results as well: (real numbers replaced with X)

The call is being routed through -

Route List :Route List Name= PSTN-RL
RouteGroup :RouteGroup Name= PSTN-RG

What is device in the RG ? Can you run a debug on it and see what is happening ? I am thinking that the router is hunting the calls back to CUCM which is why you have the calls go to your internal extensions.

My thoughts exactly. Router debug logs show call was initiated but it does not show when call is sent back to the internal extension.

I've run out of ideas and will have to open the ticket with TAC.

what is on the end of your RG?  a CUBE. check the dial peers, run a debug voip dialpeer and see how the number get manipulated and by what dialpeer

You can open up a TAC case. Or you can collect some logs from the GW if you can tell what is the CUCM and PSTN termination.
