Hi,
We have CUCM VMs on ucs C210m3 servers which is now EOS
We'll get new ucs servers and move the VMs to these servers without sw upgrade
I need to ask if I hardcode the MAC address on the VM . Is this help to not get the MAC changed after the VM move to the new server ?
Or it shouldn't differ that the license mac should be got from the configuration as host name , ip address, ntp ... etc . so the VM won't change [ only move] so the MAC should remain the same. So no issue should happen with the cucm license after the move
Please confirm
Thanks

There has been no license MAC since CUCM 9.x, now licenses are tied to the ELM/PLM.

Thanks
So do you think moving the cucm 10.5 VM from one host to another may require re-hosting the license ?
or it should have no effect ?

I would simply hard code the MAC address of the PLM virtual machine to what it is now.
