Hi,

Im sooooo newbie. I want to change the codecs of the CUCM to use, by default G.729 or G.722.

CUCM Version  10.5.2.13900-12

All phones in the company are Cisco 6921.

We cannot force a particular Codec but can set the Preference List Using Regions Setting.

If you want G729 . Go to regions and change the setting to use Max Bit Rate to 8 Kbps to use G729 Everywhere. As Below

For G722 we can set Max Audio Bit TO 32 . This will not Force G722 but it will be used if Both Parties Support It. You can use the Audio Codec Preference List  to alter the behaviour of which codec will be selected based on Max Bit Rate.

Please rate and mark correct if applicable.

Thanks

If you are looking to change the codec system wide you can simply change the intra-region and inter-region codec service parameters.
