Hi all,
I am facing an issue currently, recently we performed a migration for our internal extensions and user extensions were migrated from 3 digit to 4 digit, since the migration users are complaining that the MWI indicator on the IP Phone is not going on even if they have a voice-mail message, i personally checked the issue, and in-fact the IP phones are not displaying MWI light for voicemail but they are having voicemail messages.
the Ip phones are responding to MWI light on and off by calling MWI on/off number.
Please advice

Were the DNs properly changed in voicemail as well? Is voicemail Unity Connection or another system? Are phones on CUCM, CME, something else?

We deleted them all from CUC and were re-imported....and everything else was working fine as expected, phones are on CUCM.....

Hi Zaheer,
Can you check if the CSS assigned on the VM ports can dial out the extensions? You can use the dialed number analyzer to check.

Hi Zaheer,
Do the following:
1. Browse to unity connection >>> Users >>> Select any user >>>Edit >>> message waiting indicators >>> Make sure the extension is correct and 4 digit
2. Browse to the following on CUCM:
CUCM admin >>>> Advance features >>> Voice Mail >>> Voice Mail port >>> Make a note of any of the Voice port DN and the CSS defined on the port
You need to access the DNA webpage by browsing to the below URL using IP address of your CUCM PUB:
https://10.106.117.132/dna/analyzer.do
Replace it with IP address of your CUCM Publisher.
1. Skinny Integration:
Set the calling party to the Voice mail port number.
Set the dialed digits to one of the extensions for which the MWI is not working.
Set the CSS to the one defined on VM port and do analysis.
2. If using SIP integration:
Do a analysis for trunk and set the called number to DN and specify the appropriate CSS.
