Need some help. I am not able hear dial tone when phone is in off hook but calls are able to connect.
Call Manager version : 8.6
Cisco IP Phone : 6945
I have checked cluster wide parameter : disable altering process indicator is false only.
I have checked in route pattern also provide outside dialtone is enabled.
I have checked in gateway also there is no issue in conf.
help me out..!!!

- is it happening for only one phone?
- is it happening only for PSTN calls or internal too?
- when the receiver is offhook and if it still receives the calls from other phones, it could be issue with hook-switch not releasing properly.
- when the phone goes off hook, it will notify the cucm and the cucm will provide the dial-tone to the phone.
- so pls check the ccm traces as well on what exactly happening between cucm and phone.

its happening for all IP phone in cluster
both internal n PSTN
i tried with speaker as well as i checked with handset also.
in traces its shows it giving dial tone to the call but still i m not able to get dial tone.

So there is no dial tone for internal calls also.. correct?
what firmware is the 6945 phone running ?? Can you upgrade the firmware?
