PRI Clocking Question - 2911 Router

I have three card types

card type t1 0 0

card type t1 0 1

card type t1 1 1

Clocking in currently configured as

network-clock-participate slot 1

network-clock-participate wic 0

no network-clock-participate wic 1

network-clock-select 1 T1 0/0/0

Controller T1 0/0/0 , T 0/0/1 and Controller T1 1/0 and 1/1 are used for our 4 T1 connections (MPLS)

I want to add a PRI to controller 0/1/0. When I try and configure the controller for the PRI I get the following:

rtr-2911 (config-controller)#pri-group timeslots 1-24 service mgcp

%Please configure network-clock-participate wic 1 first

%Insufficient resources to create pri-group - it has been removed

How do I go about configuring the clocking correctly to allow for the PRI?

You will likely have to configure 'clock source independent' on the controller before adding the PRI group.  But however you modify it, make sure you have the clocking situation coordinated with the provider so there will be no conflicts or slips on the line.

You cant configure PRI without cnfiguring network participate on the port. So you need to configure

network-clock-participate wic 1

%Insufficient resources to create pri-group---Means you dnt have enugh dsp to create the pris..You need to add PVDM to your router

Ah.. got it.  As far as PVDM - I have two modules install PVDM3-16 and PVDM3-64

hw-module pvdm 0/0

!

hw-module pvdm 0/1

But they have been allocated to something else..xcoding, conferencing etc..The gateway doesnt see any free resources,,

Please cnfigure this..

Conf t

voice-card 0

dspfarm

dsp services dspfarm

Then ensure you have

network-clock-participate wic 1

And then try and configure your pris again
