Hi All,

I want to understand when the jabber-config.xml file will be used by jabber client.

If the  jabber-config.xml is customized for 2 or 3 different site for certain attributes and uploaded to tftp server then where the configuration is to be done to use jabber-config-siteABC.xml for site ABC only and jabber-config-XYZ.xml for site XYZ only.

in your CSF device's configuration there is a field called cisco support field, where you can define on a device individual basis, what config file to pull.

I have described this in the following post:

http://ciscoshizzle.blogspot.com.au/2015/02/how-to-obtain-jabber-configxml-file.html

you could bulk change your CSF device per ABC and XYZ site

Hi Dennis,

That was a nice blog on customizing jabber-config especially the version change that eliminate the need for restarting tftp server. I wish I had known this much earlier.

ALL jabber clients know to look for jabber-config.xml by default, and they will always try to look for it, UNLESS, you configure the individual devices to look for a group configuration .xml, as explained in the Jabber documentation.
