Hi Everyone, good morning,
I'm having hard time with the receptionist because she wants the softkey "Transfer" appear without pressing the "More" key, when receiving a call.
I have tried to find a softkey template to make this happen but no luck.
Can someone tell me how to achieve this task.
Running CUCM 10.5
Latest software (firmware) in 7841.
Thanks for you support.
Alberto

This way I completed my target.... Thanks every one.
Go to....
- Device / Device Settings/Softkeys template
- Select the template where you want to change the position of the softkey.
Note : just is permitted (change position) to the one that has the check box (on the side)
- In case you want to change the position in one that does not have
the checkbox, then you can create another template doing a copy of the original template
and assign a unique name.
- once selected (the template) choose "Configure Softkey Layout" from the Related Links drop-down list box; then, click Go.
- Select the call State where you need to change the position of the buttons.
- before to change to a different "Call State", save the changes.
- Go to the phone that will have this "softkey template" and assign it to it.
- To make the updates of the "softkey template" take effect on the phone, click Apply Config.(In case the template already assigned to phone)

Hi Gregory,
Thanks for replying,
you mean the XML file. if yes, I'm new in voice, and don't know when to find it for a particular device.
Thanks in advance,
Alberto

No, the phones use softkey templates which you can customize, create new ones, etc and apply either directly to the devices or via Common Phone config.

Thanks Chris,
Actually I'm doing some testing on how to create a new template just with the softkey I need.
Thanks,
I will post if it worked .
