Repacing big Number of Phones 7960 to 8851

Hi everyone,

What is the best practice and easy way to replace 250 of ip phones 7960 with 8851?

Using the BAT tool, but since the new phone is a different device type, its like importing all new phones. 

 

We are actually doing the same thing with about 800 phones, so if there is an easier way of replacing one device type with another, I would love to hear it!

Im going through this process now... 

1. Export your 7960's 

2. Remove everything from the spreadsheet that is phone specific

3. Create your file for 8851 either with BAT or just doing a full import

4. Delete your 7960s

5. Import your 8851's. 

 

I did about 400 phones (8961 to 8851) that way recently and it was very simple.

That good Idea, I was thinking about BAT too thanks I appreciated

Andrew are using cucm 10.5 or older, i am still using 7.5 do i should do the export after the upgrade to 10.5 or before, thanks
