Hello community!
I have a CP-8851 phone with 5 lines. I am responsible for 2 of the 5 lines. I would like to silence the ring of incoming calls for the 3 lines for which I am not responsible (to help me focus). I do not want to change the ringtone or volume or take them off my phone. I want them silenced. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction please?

Hi Joe,
You can change the ring setting on those lines to Flash Only or to Disabled. The option in under the line configuration.

This is a Call Manager Configuration. You'll have to login to CUCM and edit the line configuration on the device.

So is there really no way for the user to do this from their phone?

Users can use the Self Care Portal to specify ringing on individual lines. You could also deploy a new ringtone of "Silence" and allow users to choose that for select lines.
