Hi,
What are the length of the cables of the mic which come along with SX20?
Is there a way to extend the cable length of the mic?
What will be lenght of the second mic CTS-QSC20-MIC?
Thanks,
Suhail.

The microphones provided with SX20 / C20 / MX200 / MX300 are identical. The spare part number is CTS-QSC20-MIC=
This mic can also be used with an EX90.
The length of the attached cable is 7.5 meters; it has a 3.5mm plug on the end with 4 conductors (TRRS)
There is an extension cable, as mentioned. The part number is CAB-MIC20-EXT= and it is 10 meters long.

Thanks Srini. Great info.

Thanks Srini for the reply.
Can any one help me out in the extension cable? I have seen this part no CAB-MIC20-EXT=, will this work for SX20 mics?
Thanks,

Enrico,
Do you have any information regarding how many mic extension cables (CAB-MIC20-EXT=) can be daisy chained with the codecs?

Hi Chris -
The extension cable was designed to support only one length of 10 meters. Adding additional lengths may not work properly due to voltage drop.
If you need more length, I recommend using 22/4 shielded audio cable, which works fine up to 125 feet per a trusted partner. You will need to source 4 conductor 3.5mm male and female connectors.

Hi Enrico,
Can you help if I want to use the mic input of SX10 so that I can use my wireless mic? Is this possible? Do I need a TRSS 3.5 input jack splitter where I can use the mic portion and input it to my wireless mic?

Hello - the SX10 does not support the use of third party microphones or mic systems. They actually won't work at all. The SX10 is a low cost settop device that is not designed for audio visual integration.
The SX20 is Cisco's entry-level integrator codec, supporting the use of third party microphone systems.

Enrico
Can the CAB-MIC20-EXT= also work with a SX10? I don't see why not since the same microphone also works with the SX10 but wanted to make sure in case there was a caveat with the SX10

There shouldn't be any additional caveat on extending an SX10 microphone with CAB-MIC20-EXT=. As usual, don't use more than one extension cable.

Thank you
Thanks
