Hi,
I have telephony setup with UC 540.I have to configure analog fax and I connected to the fxs port of the UC using RJ11.But after configuration fax calls not happening.Getting disconnecting ....shows Busy in telephone set while making calls to fax .
The Fxs port status same like on-hook whenever I am making call to fax(Connected to port 0/0/0) .I am attached Sh_run and debug Voice CCapi inout & Debug VPm signal.
My fax number 436 .
I am using the Version of UC 540 is UC500 Software (UC500-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(24)SB, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
CME version is 7.1

Can you describe your call setup. Where are you calling the fax machine from...
EG..PSTN---------->UC540-----Fax
or
CCM-------UC540---Fax
??
There is no debug voip Ccapi inout on the attached..

Hi,
Do you have an analogue phone you can connect to the port 0/0/0. Can you check if you have a dial-tone on that port.
Can you also test with this xlation rule...
voice translation-rule 1

Let me check with analog phone.....Have to arragnge that..will update you with the result......
If no ring tone we can have the conclusion that the card is faulty..?right?

Probably, because its giving a busy signal. Can you try and do a shut/no shut on the voice-port.
