Would be easier to figure out the issue using a debug ccm-manager events. Please share the debug here.

Hi
1- Please check the cable which connected from your gateway to the LAN , maybe there is flapping.
2-On the your gateway , please add the below commands:-
mgcp bind media source-interface (name of interface )
mgcp bind control source-interface (name of interface )
no mgcp
mgcp
3-Try to register your gateway without domain name
A-no ip domain name
B-On CUCM , try to register without FQDN , just name of router.
C-No mgcp , mgcp
Thank you

Looks like to me the GW is trying to register and times out. You sure about IP connectivity or firewall, access-lists maybe blocking MGCP packets?

Keep in mind you need two ports open for this to be succesfull.
UDP 2427
TCP 2428
If one of this ports is blocked, the port will not register.

Hi Eddy,
can u try entering command ip host PUBLISHER HOSTNAME IPadress of PUB in router and check?
like ip host CUCMPUB 10.1.1.1
If possible, please share the complete show run of router?
regds,
aman

1. You should have your controllers up and configured on Router. Without this, it will not register.
2. You should have MGCP bind commands
Example:
mgcp bind control source loopback 0
mgcp bind media source loopback 0
3. Give the command again:
no mgcp
mgcp call-agent 192.168.120.XXX 2427 service-type mgcp version 0.1
mgcp
4. Please try above commands suggested by amanso
5. On CUCM most important is to configure Controllers correctly.
Check: show inventory
and verify you have added the right controllers. It is the Controller ports that gets registered to CUCM not the whole router.

Hi Aman,
Initially I was also thinking of Controllers being UP but the show inventory posted by Eddy does not have any E1 cards.

Hi Aman & Eddy,
Without any FXO , FXS or T1/E1 port, Router will not register as MGCP gateway in CUCM.
There is no way to use MGCP without t1e1 or analog ports.
MGCP protocol controls the controller ports not the router.
You can make a H323 Gateway or SIP Trunk VoIP dial-peers.
Would like to know what is the requirement of a voice gateway here.

I AM bouncing my head against a solid brick wall as THE solution is so simpel, and mentioned in an other Thread.
"Configure THE fxs port on THE gateway config on THE call-manager".
For sure i Will not forgot this anymore....
NeXT step is to get vic2-2fxo interface so i can connect a normal pstn line to it.
Regards
Eddy

Hey Eddy,
It's a very common issue that the GW will show unregistered to CUCM if the T1/E1 card is connected but not up. As mentioned before you need to have some type of active voice card for the GW to be registered,
