Hi,
Is unity connection 8.X still orderable and is it supported (TAC supported) on Cisco MCS7825-I5-IPC1 as I do not see this in the Unity Connection supported platfrom list?
The listed servers MCS7825I5-K9-UCC2 and UCC3 in the above doc are end of sale and the replacement for this is MCS7825I5-K9-IPC1, which is supported with connection 9.X but there is no clarity if we can use the same server for Unity Connection 8.x as well.
Please help.
Regards,
Nirmal

Hi Nirmal,
I have checked the DRAM,HDD and Processor for both server models and found to be same .
Since the solution needs to be sold out, it is better u involve Cisco SE and conclude it .

Hi Nirmal,
Unity Connection 8 got end of sale on Jan. 30,2012 and last date of application SW support is Jan. 31,2015
I can see that MCS 7825I5 K9-UCC2 has been end of sale which was supporting UCxN 8.5 and replacement part number is MCS 7825I5-IPC1 which means Unity would work on this server.

Hi Aman,
Thanks for looking into this.
I believe you are talking about Cisco Unity 8.0 not unity connection in the first link which you provided.
I am more interested in Unity connection, I see that Unity connection 8.0 is eos but I guess unity connection 8.6 is still orderable.
So again my question remains, is unity connection 8.6 supported by Cisco TAC on MCS-7825-I5-IPC1 server which is not listed in supported platform list for Unity connection 8.X
Has anyone installed UC 8.6 on MCS-7825-I5-IPC1? If yes then I believe the SKU for ordering the same would still be UNITYCN8-K9?

Hi Nirmal,
Sorry .By mistake I provided the wrong URL.
Since EOS for UCxN 8.6 is not available, this means it is still orderable.
What I suggest if u have the MCS7825-I5-IPC1 server with you , please try installing 8.6 since replacement Part number for MCS 7825I5K9 UCC2 is MCS 7825I5-IPC1 with version 8.5

I guess I will have to wait for Partner Helpline response to my ticket with them.
Can someone from Cisco look into this and help?

Kamal,
I don't think UCS server for one Unity connection application is a good idea when MCs servers are still selling.
Moreover UCS are expensive as compared to MCS.
