Hi,
Hopefully an easy question for someone. We've been shipped a 7821 IP phone but it's got the 3rd Party Call Control software on it. I'd read that I should be able to upgrade to enterprise using this:
http://<phone_ip>/admin/upgrade?<schema>://<serv_ip[:port]>/filepath
However, what is the schema referring to? Can anyone give me an example URL? Or let me know how to upgrade it to a normal software version. Our normal version is 10.3.1.12
Thanks, Will

Hello Will,
You can check this link:

Note: After you upgrade to the enterprise firmware, you cannot revert to the third-party call control firmware.
Hope this works.
Sincerely,
Shubhamoy

Hello Will and Shusharka
Thanks for work in this topic. Actually we have 7821 phones, that we need to register on Asterisk, then we are trying to upgrade to version 3rd Party Call Control. Can you explain what means <Configure the Upgrade Rule on the Provisioning tab in the web page with the valid URL>. I do not know where is the Provisioned tab. How we can do that procedure. we appreciate if you give me more details.
Actually we have created a XMLDefault.cnf.xml file and put the the loadinformation sintax for instruct the phone to upgrade. This file is on the tftp sever but the proccess does not complete.
Thanks for your help

Managed to upgrade to enterprise version. I could have sworn I clicked on the admin and advanced settings, but eventually found the provisioning tab.
I just did this step:
In the Firmware Upgrade section, choose Yes from the Enable Enterprise Image Upgrade drop-down list box.
save the settings then entered the upgrade URL
http://<phone IP>/admin/upgrade?tftp://<tftp-server-IP>/sip78xx.10-3-1-12.loads
Had to do a reset on the phone after the upgrade as it didn't pick up the directory number for some reason.
Thanks for your help.
Edit: After upgrading to v11 of CUCM, I wasn't able to point the URL to the TFTP server of CUCM. I had to download the zip file for the firmware and put the entire contents of that zip in upload directory on a local tftp server, and then upgrade the phone, using the same method above.
