Upgrade paths and Software compatibility matrix

Hi,

I'm really struggling to find the upgrade paths from 6.1(x) to 6.1.5 (or any other for that matter). I also cannot find the software compatibility matrix anywhere. Most URLs point me to the same page - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_device_support_tables_list.html

but I cannot find either doc anywhere. I can see the hardware matrix but where are the upgrade paths and software matrix??

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/compat/ccmcompmatr.html.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_device_support_tables_list.html

These two are the same page which is of no help.

Rich

Hello,

You are upgrading within the same version (6.1) this is not considered as a major upgrade , this is a minor upgrade.

Amer

Amer,

Thanks for reply. I realise its a minor version but where are software compat matrix and the upgrade path docs?

Thanks Amer. I thought I was going mad. Very frustrating. Any reference to those docs takes you to a general compatibility page with no mention of them.

Hopefully someone from Cisco can explain......

Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade CUCM from 6.1.1 to 6.1.5 but get this message during start of upgrade:

Then the upgrade fails. This is upgrading to 6.1.5.13900-4.

Any ideas?

Hi Rich,

Here is the info for the release you are trying to load 6.1.5.13900-4 which is 6.1(5)su3

NoteYou can only install this Service Update on Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 6.1(3x), 6.1(4x), 6.1(5), 6.1(5)su1, 6.1(5)su2 or any 6.1(5)es from 6.1.5.11001-1 to 6.1.5.13036-1..

From the readme that links when you actually download the Software;

http://www.cisco.com/web/software/282074295/46481/cucm-readme-615su3.pdf

It looks like the base 6.1(5) version can be upgraded from 6.1(1x)

Upgrading From Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 6.1(1x) or higher to Release 6.1(5) by Using the UCSInstall File

Because of its size, the UCSInstall iso file, UCOS_6.1.5.xxxx-x.sgn.iso, comprises two parts:

UCSInstall_UCOS_6.1.5.10000-10.sgn.iso_part1of2

UCSInstall_UCOS_6.1.5.10000-10.sgn.iso_part2of2

Cheers!

Rob

PS: I'm working on getting the "great" doc back online

ITS BACK!!!! Woohoo

Thanks Rob and anyone else who battered Cisco to get this resolved.
