We have an emergency conferencing system that uses FXS ports to connect to various locations throughout our campus. Some of these are sent over fiber cable via pots-fiber media converters. These connections have been somewhat reliable, but we have had to replace converters or repair fiber connections. As this is a critical system, we want to increase that reliability by eliminating the fiber connections and, possibly, using VG400 FXO and FXS connections over our network. However, we do not need to integrate this with our CUCM, but would need to be able to access the VGs for monitoring and troubleshooting. Is this something that can be done, perhaps by using dial peers or in some kind of ring-down configuration? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The VG can be configured as any other Cisco voice router with dial peers and operate without a CM.
