VG204 - caller name not working

Hello,

We have a CME 10.5 (Cisco 2921, IOS 15.4(3)M6a), and couple of VG204. As we could not register more phone to the CME, we configured the VG204 with dial-peers for call routing. Inbound, outbound calls are fine except the caller ID:

For calls from IP phones registered with CME to analog phones connected to VG204: the caller (IP Phone) doesnot see the called party name (only see number), we have configured caller-ID name on VG204 voice ports.

Here is the configuration:

VG204:

!

voice-port 0/0
cptone IN
station-id name Amit Bhati
station-id number 7748
caller-id enable
caller-id alerting line-reversal

!

dial-peer voice 8000 voip
description ** Intra-site **
destination-pattern ^7[78]..$
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:172.23.4.10
incoming called-number .
voice-class codec 1
dtmf-relay rtp-nte
no vad
!

dial-peer voice 8020 pots
description Amit Bhati
destination-pattern ^7748$
port 0/0
!

CME router:

!
dial-peer voice 8020 voip
corlist incoming National
corlist outgoing Internal
description Amit Bhati - VG204_2
answer-address ^7748$
destination-pattern ^7748$
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:172.23.4.14
voice-class codec 1
dtmf-relay rtp-nte
no vad
!

Could someone give me some suggestions on how to enable called party display name for this setup?

Thanks,

hoanghiep

Hi,

Which phone models are you using to dial VG204? Also, do you have SIP or SCCP CME configured?

Hi, This should be working as expected with DTMF Standard in which only Number in Caller ID is supported. Pls look at the following link... https://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_3t/voice/command/reference/vrht_s12_ps5207_TSD_Products_Command_Reference_Chapter.html#wp1146782 Have you checked through "debug voip ccapi inout"? Regards... Ashok.

With best regards...
