VoiceGateway SRST mode with Cisco IP Phone 8811

Hi All.

I'm a newbie on UC and I would like to have some advices from experts here.

We are implementing a Voice Gateway in our client site, Japan office. The CUCM(ver. 10.5) is located in another country in EU.

Our client want us to configure SRST mode on the Voice Gateway in their office. The IP Phone model is CP-8811-K9=. (Cisco IP Phone 8811).

As far as I know, SRST mode works with only SCCP and Cisco IP Phone 8811 is using only SIP.

So can't we get it to work SRST mode with Cisco IP Phone 8811? Please advice.

Hi Mayumi,

Both SCCP and SIP phones are supported with SRST, 881 is also supported. Please check the following link for supported endpoints and platforms

No, you're wrong, SRST works in SCCP and/or SIP mode, the same SRST config guide covers both. Refer to the SRST compatibility guides to see what version is required for that phone model
