Team,
I am looking for a configuration to play a .wav file on Cisco SIP VG, when an IP phone in CUCM dialing a particular number.
Currently this is working via CUC but unfortunately CUC getting discontinued in our infra.
Thanks,

If i understood it correctly you are using an AA using CUC. If you need the same to be done from a Router one option will be Unity Express. But Unity express has reached EOS.Other option will be Tcl Call-Handling Applications on IOS.
Is there a reason for discontinuing CUC from your infra ?

TCL scripts could work on the router. Github is a good place to look for the TCL scripts. It's a bit complicated and would require some clever dial peers too.
CUCM actually has a built in feature to play audio prompts before connecting a call - you can even upload your own custom wav prompts under Media Resources / Announcements. It just needs a policy engine server to tell it when and who to play them to. This is all done natively using CUCM CURRI API - basically a simple webhook process for querying realtime call policies from a third party system.
I made a video that shows how to do this (free) with my product that provides the CURRI policy server. 3 minutes from initial boot with no config, to hearing the injected greeting play. Hope this helps.
