Hi Guys,
Sorry for posting in this board but I am not sure where to post this concern.
It is about the Smart Licensing for Cisco devices. Is it mandatory for the Cisco device to be stay connected over the internet for the licensing?
Thank you

yes for smart license :
you also have satellite onsite (for more devices on site) - for couple of device i suggest to use internet to register. ( device can be heind proxy - not required to expose to interent) - if you are concern about security.

Hi @marce1000 and @balaji.bandi ,
Thank you for your inputs.
Just to clarify, I am more familiar with the ASA/Firepower Smart Licensing. How can I install the license for a vEdge device? Does it communicates also to the Smart Licensing or the vManage will communicate to the Smart Licensing cloud just like in FMC-Firepower architecture?
Thank you
