Hi Rahul,

Kindly share the pdshow output from command promot of the CiscoWorks Server like this :-

C:\pdshow > C:\pdshow.txt

Also, if you dont have cmf.db under CSCOpx\databases\cmf directory then it point to bad installation too. Kindly share the installation log that you could find on your C drive if your windows is installed on C drive. The name of the log file will be CiscoWorks_install_yyyymmdd.

Thanks,

Gaganjeet

THnks for the reply Gagan ,

I m havng some problems fetching the pdshow output from the server as it is giving the message "many process n queue try agian later" i accessed the cscopx\objects\db\win32 folder and from there initialised the databases using initdb command , the databases were then created and i then pasted those .db files in databases folder but still i am getting "DCR server not found  " JRM server down " , moreover when i try to reinitiallise the database it says databse cmf is not created. I looked at the pdshow outputs in various forums and all of them had IPMDBengine etc various dbengine processess in it but when i look at my processes i cant see any DBMengine process in it.I will post the pdshow output as soon as i can get it

Hi Rahul,

As i suggested before :- Kindly share the installation log that you could find on your C drive if  your windows is installed on C drive. The name of the log file will be  CiscoWorks_install_yyyymmdd.

It looks like we might have the bad installation of CiscoWorks but I need to confirm this with the installation log.

Thanks,

Gaganjeet

Hi Gagan,

the pdshow and installation log file is attached below.

Thnks

Hi Rahul,

As I suspected the installation was not good. I will definately suggest to re-install CiscoWorks from the scratch otherwise you might face more such issues down the road.

Also is it the only installation log on the server. Its expected to be around atleast more than 500kb. This installation file is too small.

Here are the error found in installation log :-

does windows 2008 R2 has anything to do with this ?

also the processes in pdhow which dont have the dbengine for each of the databases are all due to installation error ? or we have to start something manually ?

Thanks

Hi Rahul,

Also if there are issues in the installation logs then its expected that few process will be down and therefore the functionality of Ciscoworks will be effected.

I will suggest you to install LMS 3.2 from the scratch on the supported platform and should work fine without any issues down the road.

Thanks

Gaganjeet

so i have been trying to install on the wrong operating system all this time .

I will try LMS 4.0 then , thanks a lot for ur assistance , i will let u know whether it worked or not .
