CM 4.1(2) Shared Line Querstion

Is there any way i mean any way to not have the Calling/called party "Hold" displayed on the LCD screen while one of the many ip phones which have shared line appearances configured?

E.g I have 2 x IP Phones both with same Extension, same CSS,partition (shared lines). One of them is on a call and other isn't, one places the calling/called party on hold but the phone which isn't doing nothing displays the call placed on Hold.

There must be a way to work around this issue. I got Line groups configured and placed those phones with different extensions into the group and broadcast the ring.

Any help is much appreciated.

The Privacy feature might achieve at least part of what you're looking for. Consult the Barge and Privacy chapter of the CallManager 4.1(2) Features and Services guide for more information:
