Any progress on the cme caller id name delivery issue when the telco is sending it in the facility ie field? If not, can I map the Facility ie information to display ie by using another router?
Router 1 would be connected to the telco PRI and a second T1 from router 1 going to router 2 via crossover T1 cable. Router 2 would be the CME router.
Is this possible? will this work?
Thank you for your help.

I stand corrected. It took a while but we are not seeing the name/text for incoming calls, THANKS!

"we are not seeing"
Mapate, did you mean to say "we are now seeing" or is it still not working?
I've added that command and we're still not seeing the caller name pushed to the phones either.

Running CME 4.0, either 12.4(9)T or 12.4(4)XC3, I can get inbound caller id name displayed on phones if I use "isdn supp-service name calling" command, BUT then I can no longer place outbound calls because telco is dropping calls containing outbound caller id name info. Has anybody else encountered this problem? Better still, does anybody else have a solution?

We had the same problem. The provider's router wasn't accepting facility messages from our equipment. The solution? We disabled a few of the facility messages and it worked. Here is what we used.
interface Serial0/0/0:23
isdn supp-service name calling
no isdn outgoing ie facility
no isdn outgoing ie display
no isdn outgoing ie caller-number

We were able to get it working by having our provider change the signaling to NI2 and we did the same on our equipment. Now "isdn supp-service name calling" command is working successfully.

After we upgraded our CME to v4.x, we were able to receive Caller ID name/text without the telco making any change.

We have upgraded to 12.4(9)T but still aren't seeing caller ID name with our without the "isdn supp-service name calling" command on the ISDN serial interface.
The isdn debug shows the caller's name clearly as seen in the output below, but I can't seem to get it on the phones. Anyone have any ideas?

An update... the next day when I came in, the phones magically started showing caller ID source. Yay!
Very strange, not sure why it wasn't upon first load, but 48 hours later it started working.....

Any news for CCM4.X or CCM5? Or is this a function of 12.4X?
